Vasco Rossi (born 7 February 1952), also known mononymously as Vasco or with the nickname Il Blasco, is an Italian singer-songwriter and poet. He has published 30 albums (not including unofficial releases) and written over 250 songs, as well as lyrics for other artists. Rossi calls himself a ''provocautore'' (an Italian portmanteau for "provoking author") as throughout his career he has been regularly criticized over his choice of lifestyle and the lyrics in his songs. With more than 35 million copies sold, he is one of the best-selling Italian singers. His Modena Park 2017 concert is the highest-attended ticketed concert of all time. ''Tracks'' is the first compilation album by Italian singer-songwriter Vasco Rossi, released by EMI Records on 22 November 2002. ''Tracks'' was released as a double album featuring 24 songs, including hits released by Vasco Rossi at the beginning of his career, such as "Splendida giornata", as well as more recent singles. It was preceded by the single "Generale", a previously unreleased live cover of the song originally written and recorded by Francesco De Gregori. The single was recorded live on 7 July 1995 at the San Siro stadium in Milan. The album was the best-selling record of 2002 in Italy. According to EMI Record, it had sold more than 650,000 units by the end of the year, despite being released in late November. Oliver Taylor Hawkins (February 17, 1972 – March 25, 2022) was an American musician who was the drummer and a vocalist of the rock band Foo Fighters, sharing vocals with Dave Grohl. He joined the band in 1997, and remained the band's drummer until his death in March 2022. He recorded eight studio albums with Foo Fighters between 1999 and 2021.
