She was the official representative of Venezuela at the Miss World 2000 pageant in London, United Kingdom on November 30, 2000. Miss World 2000 was the 50th anniversary of the Miss World pageant, held at the Millennium Dome in London, United Kingdom on 30 November 2000. Portions of the pageant were also filmed in the Maldives. At the end of the event, Yukta Mookhey of India crowned Priyanka Chopra of India as Miss World 2000. She is the fifth Miss World and the second successive winner from her country.
