Valērijs Belokoņs
Valērijs Belokoņs or Valeri Belokon (; born 14 February 1960) is a Latvian businessman. He is a majority shareholder and chairman of the supervisory board of ; a former co-owner of Blackpool F.C. From 12 January 2010 to 4 June 2013, he served as a Trustee of The Prince's Foundation for Building Community. For his continuous support of Latvian literature he is well known as Patron of literature. Education Born in Riga, when Latvia was a part of the Soviet Union, Belokoņs studied at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (USA) and the University of Latvia, Faculty of Philology. Bloomfield Road is a association football, football stadium in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, which has been the home of Blackpool F.C., Blackpool Football Club since 1901. It is the third stadium in the club's existence, the previous two being Raikes Hall, Raikes Hall Gardens and the Athletic Grounds (Blackpool), Athletic Grounds. Largely unchanged since the 1960s, the stadium began a redevelopment phase in the early 2000s. Boris Abramovich Berezovsky (, ; 23 January 1946 – 23 March 2013), also known as Platon Elenin, was a Russian business oligarch, government official, engineer and mathematician and a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He had the federal state civilian service rank of 1st class Active State Councillor of the Russian Federation. Berezovsky had an estimated net worth of $3 billion in 1997, having made it via the privatization in Russia of state property in the early 1990s, primarily the main television channel, Channel One. Bishkek
Bishkek, formerly known as Pishpek (until 1926), and then Frunze (1926–1991), is the Capital city, capital and largest city of Kyrgyzstan. Bishkek is also the administrative centre of the Chüy Region. Bishkek is situated near the Kazakhstan–Kyrgyzstan border, border with Kazakhstan and has a population of 1,074,075, as of 2021. The Khanate of Kokand established the fortress of Pishpek in 1825 to control local caravan routes and to collect tribute from Kyrgyz people, Kyrgyz tribes. Manas Bank
Manas Bank is a commercial bank in Kyrgyzstan currently in insolvent liquidation. It was established in 2008 by Latvian banker Valērijs Belokoņs, who In 2007 acquired then insolvent Kyrgyz commercial bank Insan Bank, and renamed it as Manas Bank. Manas Bank started its operations from 1 January 2008, offering a range of corporate and retail banking services. However, within 28 months, on 8 April 2010, following a regime change in the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz National Bank placed Manas Bank under its administration to investigate money laundering. Contrary to some reports, Manas Bank was never nationalised by the Kyrgyz government. Ūkio Bankas was a Lithuanian commercial bank based in Kaunas. More than 50% of shares are owned by Lithuanian businessman Vladimir Romanov who therefore was in the control of the bank. It was the fifth largest and oldest private bank in Lithuania. In October 2006, during an internet conference on the news portal Delfi.lt Vladimir Romanov announced his plans to sell his shares to the strategic investor. GE Money, a branch of General Electric, as one of the possible buyers was mentioned by Romanov. Baltica is a paleocontinent that formed in the Paleoproterozoic and now constitutes northwestern Eurasia, or Europe north of the Trans-European Suture Zone and west of the Ural Mountains.
