Jean-Marc Vallée (March 9, 1963December 25, 2021) was a Canadian filmmaker, film editor, and screenwriter. After studying film at the Université de Montréal, Vallée went on to make a number of critically acclaimed short films, including ''Stéréotypes'' (1991), ''Les Fleurs magiques'' (1995), and ''Les Mots magiques'' (1998). His debut feature, '' Black List'' (original in French: ''Liste noire'') (1995), was nominated for nine Genie Awards, including nods for Vallée's direction and editing. His fourth feature film, '' C.R.A.Z.Y.'' (2005), received further critical acclaim and was a financial success. Due to Vallée's perfectionism, and the tight budget, the film took almost ten years to make. Hubert Prior Vallée (July 28, 1901 – July 3, 1986), known professionally as Rudy Vallée, was an American singer, saxophonist, bandleader, actor, and entertainer. He was the first male singer to rise from local radio broadcasts in New York City to national popularity as a crooner. Early life Vallée was born in Island Pond, Vermont on July 28, 1901, the son of Catherine Lynch and Charles Alphonse Vallée. His maternal grandparents were English and Irish, while his paternal grandparents were French Canadians from Quebec. He grew up in Westbrook, Maine. On March 29, 1917, he enlisted in the US Navy in Portland, Maine to fight in World War I, but authorities discovered he was only 15 and had given the false birth date of July 28, 1899. Jacques Fabrice Vallée (; born September 24, 1939) is an Internet pioneer, computer scientist, venture capitalist, author, ufologist and astronomer currently residing in San Francisco, California and Paris, France. His scientific career began as a professional astronomer at the Paris Observatory. Vallée co-developed the first computerized map of Mars for NASA in 1963. He later worked on the network information center for the ARPANET, a precursor to the modern Internet, as a staff engineer of SRI International's Augmentation Research Center (ARC) under Douglas Engelbart. Robert Vallée (5 October 1922 in Poitiers, France – 1 January 2017, Paris, France) was a French cyberneticist and mathematician. He was Professor at the Paris 13 University (University of Paris-Nord) and president of the World Organization of Systems and Cybernetics (WOSC). At the beginning of the 1950s, Vallée wrote his first publications on what he named "opérateur d'observation" (which means in English "operator of observation"). Air Vallée S.p.A. was an Italian charter and regional airline based in Rimini. In June 2016 it ceased all operations. History Air Vallée was founded in June 1987 to promote the commercial development of Aosta Airport. In June 1988, a twice weekly link with Rome was started with a Beechcraft King Air C90. The C90 was replaced in October 1989 with a Cessna Citation I and another twin jet was acquired. Both were replaced by a Learjet 31 acquired in January 1992 and a Beechcraft King Air 200 was acquired in August 1993. It operated scheduled services linking two destinations in Sardinia and six on mainland Italy, as well as charter services. Anne Vallée (26 July 1958, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada - 31 July 1982, Triangle Island, British Columbia, ) was one of the first biologists to observe the impact of climate change on animal populations. Biography Born in Quebec City, Anne Vallée completed in 1979 a bachelor's degree in biology at Laval University and took graduate studies at the University of British Columbia supported by a scholarship from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council. Brigitte Vallée (née Salesse) (born 6 June 1950, in Courbevoie, Hauts-de-Seine, France) is a French mathematician and computer scientist. She entered the École Normale Supérieure de Jeunes Filles in 1970, and received her PhD in 1986 at the University of Caen (Lattice reduction algorithms in small dimensions). Her doctoral advisor was Jacques Stern. Vallée has been Director of Research at the French CNRS at Université de Caen, since 2001 and specialized in computational number theory and analysis of algorithms. Stéphanie Vallée (born 24 September 1971) is a French-Canadian politician, lawyer and negotiator in Quebec. She was a member of the National Assembly of Quebec (MNA) for the provincial riding of Gatineau from 2007 to 2018, as a member of the Quebec Liberal Party.
