Vallavan
''Vallavan'' ( ''Expert''), alternatively spelled as ''Valaavaan'', is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language masala film written and directed by Silambarasan, starring himself in the lead role alongside Nayanthara and Reema Sen whilst Sandhya, Santhanam, Premji and Sathyan play supporting roles. The dialogues are written by Balakumaran, and the film was produced by P. L. Thenappan. The film's score and soundtrack are composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. ''Vallavan'' released on 21 October 2006. It received mixed reviews and became a decent hit at the box office. The songs became chartbusters. Plot Vallavan is a happy-go-lucky college student who is friends with Suji, Soori and Subbu. While they are at temple, Vallavan sees Swapna and immediately falls in love with her. Silambarasan
Silambarasan Thesingu Rajendar (born 3 February 1984), popularly known as Simbu or by his initials as STR, is an Indian actor, producer, and playback singer who primarily works in Tamil cinema. He is the eldest son of director T. Rajendar. Santhanam Neelamegam (born 21 January 1980) is an Indian actor and film producer who mainly works in Tamil cinema. Prem Kumar Gangai Amaren (born 26 February 1979), better known as Premgi or Premji () is an Indian singer, composer, songwriter, actor and comedian. Thirupparaithurai Srinivasan Rangarajan, professionally credited by his pseudonym Vaali (29October 193118July 2013) was an Indian poet who has the record for writing the most songs in Tamil cinema. Balakumaran (5 July 1946 – 15 May 2018) was an Indian Tamil language, Tamil writer and author of over 200 novels, 100 short stories, and dialogue/screenplay writer for 23 films. He also contributed to Tamil periodicals such as ''Kalki (magazine), Kalki'', ''Ananda Vikatan'' and ''Kumudam''.
