''Valentina'' is an Italian comic strip series, created in 1965 by the Italian artist Guido Crepax and concluded in 1996. Originally a minor character working for the comic hero '' Neutron'', Valentina became the sole protagonist of the series in 1967. Kickin' Valentina is an American rock band from Atlanta that currently consists of singer D.K. Revelle, guitarist Heber Pampillon, bassist Chris Taylor, and drummer Jimmy Berdine. Valentina is an open source pattern drafting software tool, designed to be the foundation of a new stack of open source tools to remake the garment industry. The program was named after mother of the founder Roman Telezhinsky, a cutter by profession, who gave him the idea for the project. The main idea of the software package for creating clothing patterns is in combining new technologies with old methods of designing of patterns. The main feature is the work with parametric patterns. Like the parent company's Tamazula hot sauce, Valentina is made with puya chilis from Jalisco state, similar to the Guajillo chili and known by the name ''guajillo puya''. Valentina is typically sold in 12.5-ounce and large (one-liter or 34-ounce) glass bottles, with a flip-top cap permanently attached to the bottle. The cap does not unscrew. Valentina Vladimirovna Tereshkova (born 6 March 1937) is a Russian engineer, member of the State Duma, and former Soviet cosmonaut. She was the first Women in space, woman in space, having flown a solo mission on Vostok 6 on 16 June 1963. She orbited the Earth 48 times, spent almost three days in space, is the only woman to have been on a solo space mission and is the last surviving Vostok programme cosmonaut. ''Valentina'' is the eighth studio album by English rock band The Wedding Present. It was released in the UK on 19 March 2012 by their record label, Scopitones. The North America release date was 20 March 2012, Japan 21 March 2012 and Oceania 23 March 2012. Background Valentina came four years after the band's previous album, El Rey. It was the first album since Saturnalia not to feature Terry de Castro on bass, although she did provide a few backing vocals. The album was produced by Andrew Scheps, who had previously worked with bands including U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Adele. Valentina is a supervillain appearing in Philippine comics, Philippine comic books, created by Mars Ravelo and Nestor Redondo. Based upon the Medusa, eponymous Greek mythological figure, she first appeared in Pilipino Komiks (issue #78, 1950) and was the first adversary of the superhero Darna.
