Upsala IF
Upsala IF is a Football in Sweden, Swedish sports club located in the city of Uppsala. Background Upsala IF was formed on 11 December 1904 when IK Swithiod and Erikslunds IK decided to merge. It was intended that the new club would be named Allmänna Idrottsklubben, Uppsala, but the club was refused entry into the Riksidrottsförbundet (Swedish Sports Confederation) because of the similarity to the name used by AIK in the northern suburbs of Stockholm. The name was eventually changed at the beginning of 1907 to Upsala Idrottsförening and the club joined the Riksidrottsförbundet, RF. UIF provides a classic example of a multi-sport club with five active sections covering boxing, football / youth football, Sport of athletics, athletics, handball and orienteering. Swedish Football League System
The Swedish football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in Sweden which is controlled by the Swedish Football Association and consists of 288 teams in 22 leagues divided into five levels. Below those five levels, additional regional levels numbered six to ten exist but these lower leagues are controlled by the regional associations and not by the nationwide association. Racewalking
Racewalking, or race walking, is a long-distance discipline within the sport of athletics. Although a foot race, it is different from running in that one foot must appear to be in contact with the ground at all times. Race judges carefully assess that this is maintained throughout the race. Typically held on either roads or running tracks, common distances range from up to 100 kilometres (62.1 mi).
