Unser Star Für Baku
Germany participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 and selected their entry in a series of competitive heats and a national final ''Unser Star für Baku'', which was organised jointly by the public broadcasters ARD and NDR and the private television channel ProSieben. Roman Lob represented Germany with the song "Standing Still", which placed 8th in the final, scoring 110 points, giving Germany their third top 10 placement in a row. Roman Lob
Roman Lob (born 2 July 1990) is a German singer-songwriter. In January and February 2012, Lob was a contestant in the German TV show '' Unser Star für Baku'', produced by the German broadcasting stations Pro7 and Das Erste. He is also the lead singer of the band Rooftop Kingdom, an alternative rock band with origins in Neustadt (Wied). He was also a founding member of German Metalcore band, Days of Despite. Career 2007–2011: Early beginnings In 2007, Lob took part in the fourth series of the German ''Idol'' format ''Deutschland sucht den Superstar'' but had to quit due to a vocal cord infection. He had already advanced into the field of the top 20 contestants. In 2008, Roman took part in the competition to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade, as a part of the boy band G12P – Germany 12 Points. It was written by Charles Hinshaw, Usher, and RedOne, with the latter also producing the song. "Not Fair" is a song by British recording artist Lily Allen from her second studio album, ''It's Not Me, It's You'' (2009). Written by Allen and Greg Kurstin, the song was released as the second single from the album on 20 March 2009 by Regal Recordings. The song incorporates country music as the lyrics depict sexual frustration. Contemporary critics did not positively receive the song and its theme, some calling it a "pseudo-country track" and considering it a strange musical composition.
