Ukrainian SL Favorit Sport
The Ukrainian SL Favorit Sport was one of two top-tier level professional basketball leagues in Ukraine. The league existed for 2015–16 Ukrainian SL Favorit Sport, one season, and was organised by the Ukrainian Basketball Federation. History At the start of the 2015–16 season, the SL Favorit Sport league was founded, and several teams from the Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague, Ukrainian SuperLeague, including the league's champions, BC Khimik, Khimik, left the Ukrainian SuperLeague and joined the newly formed Ukrainian SL Favorit Sport league.http://www.superleague.ua/news/55539.htm After the 2015–16 season, the two leagues merged again. The Basketball Federation of Ukraine ( uk, Федерація баскетболу України) also known as FBU is the governing body of basketball in Ukraine. It was founded and joined FIBA in 1992, after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The federation is headquartered in Kyiv. The Basketball Federation of Ukraine operates the Ukraine men's national team and Ukraine women's national team. They organize national competitions in Ukraine, for both the men's and women's senior teams and also the youth national basketball teams.
