The Ukrainian News Agency ( uk, Інформаційне агентство "Українські Новини"; ''Informatsiyne ahentstvo "Ukrayins'ki Novyny"'') is a Kyiv-based Ukrainian news agency. It produces and provides political, business and financial information, as well as a popular photo reporting service. Since February 2008 the company is part of the Inter Media Group Ltd., formerly U.A. Inter Media Group, which itself is a subsidiary of the Russian-based company GDF Media Ltd. Inter Media Group Limited also owns 61% of the Ukrainian TV channel Inter. Founded in 1993, by Mykhailo Kolomiets and Volodymyr Hranovskiy the agency now used by about 10,000 clients daily. The agency offers 27 information and analytical products in Russian, Ukrainian and English. Ukrainian News is the only agency in Ukraine that translates 100% of its products into English. ''Ukrainska Pravda'' ( uk, Українська правда, lit=Ukrainian Truth) is a Ukrainian online newspaper founded by Georgiy Gongadze on 16 April 2000 (the day of the Ukrainian constitutional referendum). Published mainly in Ukrainian with selected articles published in or translated to Russian and English, the newspaper is tailored for a general readership with an emphasis on the politics of Ukraine. In May 2021, owner Olena Prytula sold 100% of the corporate rights of ''Ukrainska Pravda'' to Dragon Capital. The parties agreed that the editorial policy of the publication would remain unchanged. NewsOne (Ukrainian TV Channel)
NewsOne was a pro-Russian information and educational TV channel in Ukraine. It was a member of the Novyny media holding group unofficially owned by politician Viktor Medvedchuk through his associate Taras Kozak. NewsOne aired from 2005 to 2021. Due to the anti-Ukrainian activities of its owners (Medvedchuk and Kozak) the signals of the TV channels of the media holding were blocked on 2 February 2021 by decree of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the decision of the National Security and Defense Council. On 26 February 2021, from the closed channels of the media holding—NewsOne, and 112 Ukraine—a new TV channel was created - "First Independent" , where the journalists of the closed TV channels moved. Dmytro Vasylovych Firtash ( uk, Дмитро́ Васи́льович Фі́рташ; born 2 May 1965) is a Ukrainian businessman who heads the board of directors of Group DF. He was highly influential during the Yuschenko administration and the Yanukovych administration. As a middleman for the Russian natural gas giant Gazprom and with connections to the Kremlin, Firtash funneled money into the campaigns of pro-Russia politicians in Ukraine.
