Murder Squad
Murder Squad is a Swedish death metal band that was formed in 1993 in Stockholm. It is a side project of two Dismember members and two Entombed members. The band is highly influenced by the American group Autopsy. On their second album ''Ravenous, Murderous'', Chris Reifert of Autopsy appears as a guest singer. After Cederlund left Entombed, Kärki announced that there would be no more Murder Squad either. The band reunited in 2013 (without Cabeza - Jorgen Sandstrom performed in his place) for a one-off reunion gig. Matti Kärki
Matti Kärki, (born 13 December 1972) is a Sweden, Swedish singer who is best known for his work with Dismember (band), Dismember. Before he joined Dismember in 1991, he was the singer in the Swedish band Carnage (band), Carnage (1989-1990). The first band fronted by Kärki was Therion (band), Therion in 1989. He also appears with the Autopsy-inspired Murder Squad since 1993. Furthermore, he was part of the experimental band Carbonized (band), Carbonized from 1988 to 1990. Kärki appeared as a guest-singer of Entombed (band), Entombed and sang "But Life Goes On" on the Entombed show in Sala on 24 June 1990. Richard Cabeza (a.k.a. Richard Daemon) is a Swedish musician. He played bass in various death metal bands, including Unanimated, Dismember, Carbonized, and Murder Squad. He was also the vocalist of the band General Surgery. In 2002, Cabeza was the touring bassist of Dark Funeral. Entombed is a Swedish death metal band formed in 1987 under the name of Nihilist. Entombed began their career as an early pioneer of Scandinavian death metal which initially differed from its American counterpart by its distinct "buzzsaw" guitar tone.
