The ''Université Pédagogique Nationale'' (meaning "National Pedagogical University"), formerly named the Institut Pédagogique National, colloquially referred to by its acronym UPN, is a public institution of higher education dedicated to training teachers, enhancing their skills, and promoting studies and research in applied pedagogy. Strategically located in Ngaliema commune, it is bordered by the Binza-Pigeon neighborhood to the north, Avenue de la Libération to the south, the road to Matadi to the west, and the Camping neighborhood (Camping Madiata) of Selembao commune to the east. Founded in 1961 as the Institut Pédagogique National, it merged with the National University of Zaire (UNAZA) in 1971. Patrick Muyaya Katembwe
Patrick Muyaya Katembwe, (born July 10, 1982) is a Congolese politician. He has served as a member of the National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Congo since 2011. Since 2021 he is the government spokesman. Early life Patrick Muyaya was born July 10, 1982, in Kinshasa. He grew up in the commune of Bandalungwa, in Funa District. Radio Okapi
Radio Okapi is a radio network that operates in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. On an annual budget of USD$4.5 million, a staff of 200 provide news and information to the entire urban population of the DRC. Radio Okapi provides programming in French and in the four national languages of Congo: Lingala, Kituba, Swahili and Tshiluba, History Radio Okapi was created by the United Nations Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUC) and the Swiss NGO Fondation Hirondelle. The agreement between MONUC and the Congolese government foresaw the creation of a radio network to inform the Congolese population of the MONUC's efforts. MONUC and the Fondation Hirondelle submitted a plan in 2001 to the United Nations, and the radio network went live on 25 February 2002.
