Unirea Tricolor București (1990)
Unirea Tricolor București was a Romanian football club from Bucharest, south-east Romania, founded in 1914 as Tricolor București. It was one of the most famous inter-war clubs in Romania. History Tricolor București Tricolor, first named Teiul, was set up in 1914, in the district of Obor, by some high-school students. Among the first players was Costel Rădulescu, a 1930s coach and manager of the Romania national team and co-founder of the modern national championship system (league system). After World War I, the club became champion of the Bucharest Region and played in the final tournament of the National Championship. They finished once runner-up in the Liga I in 1919–20 and once they won the national championship in 1920–21. In 1921–22 the club was knocked out in the semifinals by Victoria Cluj after the team from Bucharest failed to appear, so it lost the game with 0–3, by administrative decision. Obor
Obor is the name of a square and the surrounding district of Bucharest, the capital of Romania. There is also a Bucharest Metro station (on the Bucharest Metro Line M1, M1 line) named Obor metro station, Obor, which lies in this area. The district is near the Colentina, Bucharest, Colentina and Moșilor neighborhoods. Obor stands in the place of "Târgul Moșilor", a fair famous throughout Wallachia, which was held twice a week. In Old Romanian, "''obor''" meant ''enclosure, corral''. Located outside the city, in the 18th century, it was also the place for Hanging, public hangings. About 20 Ottoman Turks, Turks captured from wars were hanged here by the Romanians. The Obor Market (Piața Obor), the direct successor of the original fair, was, until 2007, Bucharest's largest public market.
