Union Township is a subdivision of Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri, in the United States of America, and is one of the five townships located in Ste. Genevieve County. Civil Township
A civil township is a widely used unit of local government in the United States that is subordinate to a county, most often in the northern and midwestern parts of the country. The term town is used in New England, New York, and Wisconsin to refer to the equivalent of the civil township in these states; Minnesota uses "town" officially but often uses it and "township" interchangeably. Race and ethnicity in the United States census, defined by the federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the United States Census Bureau, are the self-identified categories of race or races and ethnicity chosen by residents, with which they most closely identify, and indicate whether they are of Hispanic or Latino origin (the only categories for ethnicity). Jonca Creek is a stream in Ste. Genevieve County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary to the River aux Vases. The stream begins at the junction of the North and South Fork tributary streams at at an elevation of approximately 750 feet.''Sprott, MO,'' 7.5 Minute Topographic Quadrangle, USGS, 1964 (1977 rev.) The source area is one quarter mile east of Missouri Route 32 and the stream flows generally to the east.
