Ulf Kjell Gür
Ulf Kjell Gür (born 3 December 1951) is a Swedish theatre producer, filmmaker and singer-songwriter. He was artistic and managing director of Gothenburg City Theatre from 1992 to 1995, CEO at Sandrews Teater AB in 1995–1996, producer at the Royal Dramatic Theatre, Stockholm, from 1997 to 2002, and then producer at the Boulevardteatern, Stockholm, from 2002 to 2006. He has been involved in several international theatre, dance and music productions/festivals. As a singer/musician he was active in Tom Trick from 1979 to 1983, and later a founder member in the European music group NOWlab since 1985. Gothenburg City Theatre
Gothenburg City Theatre () opened in 1934 at Götaplatsen square in Gothenburg, Sweden. The theatre was designed by Swedish architect Carl Bergsten who gave the exterior a Neoclassical architecture, Neo-Classical look with a touch of Streamline Moderne. The critics thought it to be a too old-fashioned building – the International style (architecture), International Style had had a big breakthrough some years before at the Stockholm Exhibition (1930), 1930 Stockholm Exhibition. But the interiors of the building pleased the reviewers who thought the auditorium to be "intimate" and “democratic”. The theatre went through a major renovation some years ago and the auditorium was equipped with new technology and with new seats. ''The Blue Angel'' () is a 1930 German musical comedy-drama film directed by Josef von Sternberg and starring Marlene Dietrich, Emil Jannings and Kurt Gerron. Gideon Wahlberg
Gideon Wahlberg (18 June 1890 – 3 May 1948) was a Swedish actor, screenwriter, film director and theater manager. Wahlberg directed six films including ''South of the Highway'' (1936). Wahlberg was the theater manager of the Arbisteatern in Norrköping from 1918-1931 and 1933–1934. Biography Wahlberg was the son of a tailor and grew up with several siblings in Östermalm in Stockholm. ''The Dresser'' is a 1980 West End and Broadway play by Ronald Harwood, which tells the story of an aging actor's personal assistant, who struggles to keep his charge's life together. Plot Harwood based the play on his experiences as dresser to English Shakespearean actor-manager Sir Donald Wolfit, who is the model for the character "Sir" in the play. Mats Ek (born 18 April 1945) is a Swedish dance and ballet choreographer, dancer and stage director. He was the manager of the Cullberg Ballet from 1985 to 1993. Life and career Ek was born in Malmö in 1945, the son of the Royal Dramatic Theatre actor Anders Ek and choreographer Birgit Cullberg.
