Ulaş, Tekirdağ
Ulaş is a neighbourhood of the municipality and district of Ergene, Tekirdağ Province, Turkey. Its population is 6,727 (2022). Before the 2013 reorganisation, it was a town (''belde'') in the district of Çorlu. It is situated in the Rumeli region of the Balkan peninsula (also known as Thrace in Turkey, the European part of Turkey) south of Turkish state highway D.535, which connects Istanbul to Edirne and the Bulgarian border. Ergene is a municipality and district of Tekirdağ Province, Turkey. Its area is 418 km2, and its population is 67,038 (2022). The district and municipality Ergene was created at the 2013 Turkish local government reorganisation from part of the district of Çorlu, including the former municipalities Marmaracık, Ulaş, Misinli and Velimeşe. Belde
Belde (literally "town", also known as ''kasaba'') means "large village with a municipality" in Turkish language, Turkish. All Turkish province centers and district centers have municipalities, but the Villages of Turkey, villages are usually too small to have municipalities. The population in some villages may exceed 2000 and in such villages a small municipality may be established depending on residents' choice. Such villages are called ''belde''. Up to 2014 the number of ''belde'' municipalities was about 1400. On 30 March 2014 by the act no. 6360 all villages (those with and without municipality) were included in the urban fabric of the district municipalities in 30 provinces. Thus ''belde'' municipalities in 30 provinces were abolished. The number of abolished ''belde'' municipalities is 1040. Çorlu
Çorlu () is a municipality and district of Tekirdağ Province, northwestern Turkey. Its area is 531 km2, and its population is 300,296 (2024). It is a rapidly growing industrial center built on flatland located on the motorway Otoyol 3 and off the highway D.100 between Istanbul and Turkey's border with Greece and Bulgaria. The nearest airport is Tekirdağ-Çorlu Airport (TEQ). It is the most populated city in Turkey entirely in Europe. Rumeli
Rumelia (; ; ) was a historical region in Southeastern Europe that was administered by the Ottoman Empire, roughly corresponding to the Balkans. In its wider sense, it was used to refer to all Ottoman possessions and vassals in Europe.
