Oghi, Pakistan
Oghi () is a town in District Mansehra of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Situated in the Agror Valley, it is the headquarters of the eponymous tehsil. History During British rule it was the headquarters of Agror Valley (part of Hazara District) and served as the headquarters of the Hazara border military police. In British colonial times, the town of Oghi, in the Agror valley, was the seat of the local chief, the Khan of Agror, of the Pashtun tribe, descended from one Akhund Saadudin. Uggi is a village in Nakodar in Jalandhar district of Punjab State, India. It is located from Nakodar, from Kapurthala, from district headquarter Jalandhar and from state capital Chandigarh. The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is an elected representative of village as per Panchayati raj (India). Demography As of 2011, The village has a total number of 824 houses and population of 4117 of which include 2117 are males while 2000 are females according to the report published by Census India in 2011. Literacy rate of the village is 73.98%, lower than state average of 75.84%. The population of children under the age of 6 years is 474 which is 11.51% of total population of the village, and child sex ratio is approximately 945 higher than the state average of 846. Uggie (February 14, 2002 – August 7, 2015) was a trained Parson Russell Terrier famous for his roles in ''Water for Elephants'' and '' The Artist''. His memoir ''Uggie, My Story'' was published in the United States, the UK, and France in October 2012. The campaign "Consider Uggie" was launched in December 2011 on Facebook by S.T. VanAirsdale, an editor at Movieline, for Uggie to receive a real or Honorary Academy Award nomination. BAFTA announced that he would be ineligible for one of its awards, while he received a special mention at the Lumière Awards in France. He won the Palm Dog Award at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. Early life and family Uggie was rejected by at least his first two owners as being too wild. He was about to be sent to a dog pound, but was adopted by animal trainer Omar Von Muller after his friends alerted him to the dog.
