Uchū No Kishi Tekkaman
is a Japanese anime produced by Tatsunoko Production in 1975. A short-lived English adaptation aired in the U.S. in 1984. The first 13 episodes streamed in Japanese with English subtitles on Anime Sols as of spring 2013 exclusively in North America, but the website is now defunct. All 26 episodes were streaming on Viewster in several countries until the website went defunct in 2019. In the 1990s, it was followed by the much more popular ''Tekkaman Blade'', which was dubbed in the U.S. by Saban as ''Teknoman''. Plot The Earth has entered the 21st century, and it is in peril. The "Green Earth" project has been abandoned, and scientists look to the stars to find a "Second Earth". The "Space Angel", on its mission to find this "Second Earth", is attacked by a group of aliens named the "Waldarians". Katsuji Mori
is a Japanese actor, Voice acting in Japan, voice actor and narrator from Tokyo. He is most known for the roles of Go Mifune (''Mach GoGoGo''), Joe Shimamura/009 (''Cyborg 009'' [1960s]), Ken the Eagle (''Science Ninja Team Gatchaman''), Jouji Minami (''Tekkaman: The Space Knight''), and Garma Zabi (''Mobile Suit Gundam''). ''Battle of the Planets'' is an American adaptation of the Japanese anime series ''Science Ninja Team Gatchaman'' (1972). Of the 105 original ''Gatchaman'' episodes, 85 were used in the ''Battle of the Planets'' adaptation, produced by Sandy Frank Entertainment. The adaptation was generally faithful to the plot and character development of the original ''Gatchaman'' series, but significant additions and reductions were made in order to increase appeal to the North American television market of the late 1970s, as well as avoid controversy from parents; these included the removal of elements of graphic violence and profanity. Sandy Frank (born Sundel Francous; July 11, 1929) is an American television producer, distributor, and marketer of TV shows to US networks. Science Ninja Team Gatchaman
is a Japanese animated media franchise about a five-member superhero ninja team created by Tatsuo Yoshida and produced by Tatsunoko Productions. The original anime series, which debuted in 1972, was eponymously entitled ''Kagaku Ninja-tai Gatchaman'' and is best known in the English-speaking world as the adaptation entitled '' Battle of the Planets'' (1978).
