Hakata Bay
is a bay in the northwestern part of Fukuoka city, on the Japanese island of Kyūshū. It faces the Tsushima Strait, and features beaches and a port, though parts of the bay have been reclaimed in the expansion of the city of Fukuoka. The bay is near the site of the Mongol invasions of Japan of 1274 and 1281; both invasions are sometimes referred to as the "Battle of Hakata Bay." Geography The Bay is defined by shoal Umi-no-nakamichi and tombolo Shika-no-shima (Shika Island) to the north, and ''Genkai-jima'' ( Genkai Island) to the northwest, and the Itoshima Peninsula to the west. The Ugu District Municipality () is one of the 11 districts of the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. ''Ugu'' is isiZulu for "coast". It governs the KZN South Coast and its seat is Port Shepstone. The majority of its 722,484 inhabitants spoke isiZulu as of 2011. The district code is DC21. Kituwa (also spelled Kituwah, Keetoowah, Kittowa, Kitara and other similar variations) or ''giduhwa'' (Cherokee: ᎩᏚᏩ) is a Woodland period Native American settlement near the upper Tuckasegee River, and is claimed by the Cherokee people as their original town. An earthwork platform mound, built about 1000 CE, marks a ceremonial site here. The historic Cherokee built a townhouse on top that was used for their communal gatherings and decisionmaking; they replaced it repeatedly over decades. Ugu is a town and a nagar panchayat in Unnao district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. First officially classified as a town for the 1981 census, Ugu is an old town with medieval ruins that hosts a biweekly market and an annual mela. It is located on the main Unnao-Hardoi road, a bit northwest of Safipur. Some of the main items manufactured here are shoes, slippers, furniture, and lipstick cover. As of 2011, the population is 6,318, in 1,044 households. Over 90% of Ugu's population lives in slum conditions.
