UE Red Warriors Basketball
The UE Red Warriors are the collegiate men's basketball team of the University of the East, which play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the premiere sports league in the country. History The UE Red Warriors holds the longest senior basketball championship run with seven straight UAAP titles. They also hold the longest finals streak appearances, with sixteen straight from 1957 to 1972. The team has also represented the country at the 1967 Summer Universiade. Rhoel Nadurata
Roehl Nadurata (November 2, 1937 – October 9, 2012) is a Filipino former basketball player and coach. Playing career In college, he played for the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors. Nadurata became the inaugural University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) men's basketball Most Valuable Player in 1960. Upon leaving UE, played for several teams in the Manila Industrial and Commercial Athletic Association (MICAA) such as Puyat Steel, Crispa Redmanizers, U/Tex Weavers, and Ysmael Steel. He also played for national team in 1962 Jakarta Asian Games, when they won gold, and in 1968 Olympics. Coaching career Nadurata coached the UE Red Warriors twice, from 1979 to 1980, and from 1987 until 1990 where led them into a Finals loss against Ateneo in 1987, and a finals loss against La Salle in 1990. Filomeno Pumaren
Filomeno "Pilo" Pumaren Jr. is a Filipino former basketball player and coach. Career Playing Pumaren played for 1957 UE team that won its first UAAP championship. Coaching Pumaren started as head coach of UE Red Warriors. He led the team into two championships (1975 and 1978). He served as an assistant to Ron Jacobs to Northern Cement. He worked for Gilbey's Gin (now Ginebra) as its head coach, and later worked for San Miguel Beermen as their assistant coach until 1996. Virgilio Dalupan
Virgilio "Baby" Adam Dalupan (October 19, 1923 – August 17, 2016) was a Filipino basketball coach and player. Dubbed "The Maestro", Dalupan was best known for his lengthy coaching tenure with the Crispa Redmanizers and garnered a career total of 52 basketball championships. During his 16-year Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) career (1975–1991), Dalupan won 15 PBA championships, the most by any PBA coach until February 26, 2014, when Tim Cone won his 16th PBA championship during the 2013–14 PBA Philippine Cup. Dalupan's record of 15 PBA titles went unmatched for 23 years (1990–2013) until Cone tied Dalupan's record on October 26, 2013, during the 2013 PBA Governors' Cup. Gabriel Fajardo
Gabriel Fajardo (March 24, 1917 – July 19, 2008) was a Philippines, Filipino basketball player who competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, England. Fajardo began playing basketball at the Mapa High School at the age of 14. He also played baseball and volleyball. In 1935, he enrolled at the University of Santo Tomas where he finished his commerce studies. He shifted to education and was a member of the 1939 varsity team that won the Big Three (UST, University of the Philippines, UP and National University (Philippines), NU) championship. After the end of World War II, he rejoined the UST team in 1947. Fajardo was named to the Philippine team in the 1948 London Olympics and was so impressive that upon his return, he got the distinction of being the first to be named "Mr. Basketball" by the Philippine Sportswriters Association. Luis Alfonso Revilla (born November 30, 1989) is a Filipino former professional basketball player who played in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) and currently an assistant head coach for the UE Red Warriors. College career Revilla, a San Beda Red Cub stalwart, was recruited by DLSU and suited up for the Green Archers in 2008. Don Carlos Armand Crisostomo Allado (born June 10, 1977) is a Filipino basketball coach, former professional player, and politician. A power forward, he played college basketball for the De La Salle Green Archers, where he won back-to-back UAAP championships, most valuable player (MVP) awards, and Finals MVP awards in 1998 and 1999. In the 1999 draft of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), he was selected as the eighth overall pick by Alaska with whom he won two PBA championships: the 2000 All-Filipino Cup and the 2003 Invitational Championship. Gerardo "Jack" Santiago is a Filipino former basketball player and coach who most recently served as head coach of UE Red Warriors. Upland High School is a four-year public high school located in the city of Upland, California. The school was established in 1955 as part of the Chaffey Joint Union High School District, and since 1988 it has been a member of the Upland Unified School District. It currently serves students from Upland and the northern portions of Ontario and Montclair that are North of the San Bernardino Freeway.
