UEFA Euro 2008 Qualifying
Qualifying for the UEFA Euro 2008 finals tournament took place between August 2006 and November 2007. Fifty teams were divided into seven groups. In a Round-robin tournament, double round-robin system, each team played against each of the others in their group on a home-and-away basis. The winner and runner-up of each group qualified automatically for the final tournament. This was the first Euro qualification since expansion to have no playoff. Stefano Farina (19 September 1962 – 23 May 2017) was an Italian association football referee. Career Farina was born in Ovada on 19 September 1962. In a 27-year career, he refereed several high-profile matches in Serie A and the UEFA Champions League, including the 2006 UEFA Super Cup final in Monaco between Barcelona and Sevilla. Claus Bo Larsen (born 28 October 1965 in Odense) is a former Danish football referee who officiates in the Danish Superliga and was FIFA-listed from 1996 to 2010. He has officiated numerous matches in the UEFA Europa League and Champions League. Larsen is classified as a FIFA Top Class Referee, which is the highest level of referees.
