UEC European Track Championships – Women's Elimination Race
The Women's elimination race at the UEC European Track Championships was first competed in 2015 in Grenchen, Switzerland. The elimination race, also known colloquially as "the Devil" (from the idiom "devil take the hindmost"), is a race in which at the end of every second lap the last rider to cross the line is eliminated from the race. The final two cyclists then take part in what amounts to a rolling start match sprint. Although included in the omnium for several years, its first stand alone appearance was in 2015. Neah Alexina Evans (born 1 August 1990) is a Scottish professional racing cyclist specialising in track endurance events. Representing Great Britain at the Olympic Games, European Championships and World Championships, and Scotland at the Commonwealth Games, Evans is an Olympic medalist in the team pursuit, a World points race champion, a six-time European champion in team pursuit (4), individual pursuit and the madison, and a Commonwealth Games medalist. 2021 UEC European Track Championships
2021 UEC European Track Championships was the twelfth edition of the elite UEC European Track Championships in track cycling and took place at the Tissot Velodrome in Grenchen, Switzerland, from 5 to 9 October 2021. Originally it was supposed to be held in Minsk, Belarus, between 23 and 27 June 2021 as an elite UEC European Track Championships in track cycling On 27 May 2021 the Management Board of the European Cycling Union decided to cancel the 2021 Elite Track European Championships scheduled in Minsk in June 2021. On 1 June, it was announced that the championships would go ahead in the second week of October 2021. The 2020 UEC European Track Championships was the eleventh edition of the elite UEC European Track Championships in track cycling and took place at the Kolodruma in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, between 11 and 15 November 2020.
