UBC Güssing Knights
UBC Magnofit Güssing Knights is a professional basketball club based in Güssing, Austria. The team played in the Austrian ÖBL, but in April 2016 the team was disqualified from the league. History In the 2013–14 season, the Knights shocked Austria by taking the national title by beating top seeded ece Bulls Kapfenberg 3–2 in the Finals. They turned around a 0–2 deficit to the Bulls. Before the season the Knight were predicted to end on the 7th place by surveys around the league. The following season, the Knights would make their debut in Europe. The team entered the 2014–15 EuroChallenge regular season. After another national title in 2015, things were looking bright for Knights. However, in the 2015–16 season the team had financial problems. This eventually resulted in the licence of the club being taken by the ÖBL, and the team was disqualified from the ÖBL season in April 2016. The Austrian Basketball Bundesliga (in German: Österreichische Basketball Bundesliga) was the top men's professional basketball league in Austria. Until the 2004–05 season, the league was known as the A-Liga (A-League) and then until the 2008–09 season it was called the Österreichische Basketball Bundesliga (ÖBL). From 2008 to 2019, it was named the Admiral Basketball League, after the league's main sponsor, Admiral Sportwetten. In 2019, the competition was replaced by the Austrian Basketball Superliga. The Austrian Cup (), for sponsorship reasons known as the Chevrolet Cup, is an annual cup competition for Austrian basketball teams. The competition was introduced in 1994, the Final Four in 1995. Kapfenberg Bulls, also known simply as Bulls, is a professional basketball club that is based in Kapfenberg, Styria, Austria. The team plays in the Austrian Basketball Superliga. 2014–15 EuroChallenge
The 2014–15 EuroChallenge was the 12th and last edition of Europe's third-tier level transnational competition for men's professional basketball clubs. The winner and the runner-up of this competition earned a place at the group stage of next year's Eurocup season. The regular season was composed by 32 teams and it started on 4 November 2014. The season ended on 26 April 2015, when JSF Nanterre beat Trabzonspor Medical Park 63–64 in the Final in Trabzon, Turkey. It was the last season of the EuroChallenge, starting from the 2015–16 season, the competition was replaced by the FIBA Europe Cup.
