''Two of a Kind'' is a 1951 American crime film directed by Henry Levin and starring Edmond O'Brien, Lizabeth Scott and Terry Moore.. Plot Mike Farrell (O'Brien) is induced by con artists Brandy Kirby (Scott) and attorney Vincent Mailer (Knox) to purloin a rich couple's ten million dollar estate by having Farrell pose as their long-lost son. When the old man refuses to change his will, Mailer decides to kill the couple, and Kirby plays along. Farrell refuses to assist and Mailer plans to kill him too. After a botched attempt, with Kirby's help, Farrell exposes the scam to the old man, dooming Mailer's plan, and allowing Kirby and Farrell to unite, as "Two of a Kind". Two Of A Kind (Bobby Darin And Johnny Mercer Album)
''Two of a Kind'' is an album by American singer Bobby Darin and singer/composer Johnny Mercer, released in 1961. It was arranged and conducted by Billy May. The LP was recorded over four dates in August 1960, with several songs recorded on more than one occasion, and three songs not released on the album at all. In 2017, the Omnivore label released an extended version of the album, containing five alternate takes and two of the previously-unreleased songs. Back in Your Own Back Yard remains unreleased. Most of the songs recorded were of a novelty nature, although a couple of songs co-authored by Mercer were also included, but even these are not the jazz standards for which Mercer is probably best remembered. The title song was a Johnny Mercer composition that Darin contributed extra lyrics to, prompting Mercer to give him a full co-author credit. It was originally released on July 4, 1995, through Wingnut Records and rereleased on April 22, 1997, through Nitro Records. Background ''Answer That and Stay Fashionable'' was recorded in Hayward, California, at Art of Ears, the studio of Andy Ernst, in 1995. The album was produced by AFI, along with Doug Sangalang, Tim Armstrong and Brett Reed. It was recorded in under a week. All of the tracks except "Open Your Eyes" are copyrighted to Anthems for Insubordinates.
