Troy Gregory
Troy Gregory (born November 13, 1966) is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, filmmaker, film composer, solo artist, and member of The Dirtbombs. Since 2018 for his solo Albums he has composed, produced, and performed all instruments by himself. Additionally he creates his own album art and music videos. In 2010 he wrote, directed, edited, scored and acted in the film World War Love. Former acts he has worked with include Crime & the City Solution, Flotsam and Jetsam, Prong, Sixto Diaz Rodriguez, Kim Fowley, Andre Williams, Killing Joke, Electric Six, Nathaniel Mayer, The Volebeats, Spiritualized, Swans and Damo Suzuki. Electric Six is a six-piece American rock band formed in 1996 in Detroit, Michigan. Their music was described by AllMusic as a combination of garage, disco, punk rock, new wave, and metal. ''No Place for Disgrace'' is the second album by American thrash metal band Flotsam and Jetsam, released in 1988. This marked the band's first album release through a major label, Elektra Records, and was also their first album with the bass guitarist Troy Gregory, who had replaced Jason Newsted when the latter left the band in 1986 to join Metallica. Despite not playing on the album, three songs on it were co-written by Newsted. __NOTOC__ ''We Have You Surrounded'' is the fourth album by the American rock music group The Dirtbombs. Production Recording of ''We Have You Surrounded'', began in November 2006 as a five song EP. The length of time since the band's last full-length, 2003's ''Dangerous Magical Noise'', led to the decision to finish it as an LP, once again postponing the band's long-planned bubblegum record. Recording resumed in the summer of 2007, and ''We Have You Surrounded'' was released in February 2008. Far from being a bubblegum record, the album's themes are dark, based on Alan Moore's "Leopard Man at C & A'", which is described by Collins as "a fabulous take on urban paranoia".
