Troy Bodie
Troy Bodie (born January 25, 1985) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey winger. Bodie was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He last played for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (NHL), but has also spent time with the Anaheim Ducks and Carolina Hurricanes. Since May 2021, he is the director of hockey and business operations for the Seattle Kraken's American Hockey League farm team, the Coachella Valley Firebirds. Playing career Bodie was drafted 278th overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft from the Western Hockey League's Kelowna Rockets. Bodie had spells in the ECHL with the Stockton Thunder and the American Hockey League for the Hamilton Bulldogs and the Springfield Falcons before signing a one-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks on July 22, 2008. Stockton Thunder
The Stockton Thunder were a minor league professional ice hockey team that was based in Stockton, California, and a member of the ECHL. The Stockton Arena was their home ice, with a capacity of 9,737. The team was an affiliate team of the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League in their final two seasons. The team was purchased by the Calgary Flames and relocated to Glens Falls, New York, as the Flames relocated their American Hockey League team to Stockton to become the Stockton Heat. The Toronto Marlies are a professional ice hockey team based in Toronto. They compete in the American Hockey League (AHL) as a member of the North Division of the Eastern Conference. The Syracuse Crunch are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL). They play in Syracuse, New York, at the Upstate Medical University Arena. They are the primary development affiliate of the National Hockey League's Tampa Bay Lightning. Ryan Dean Miller (born July 17, 1980) is an American former ice hockey goaltender who played 18 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) mostly for the Buffalo Sabres. Miller was drafted 138th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. In 2010, he won the Vezina Trophy as the league's best goaltender. On February 17, 2019, Miller became the winningest American-born goaltender in NHL history, surpassing John Vanbiesbrouck. Iowa Chops
The Iowa Stars, later known as the Iowa Chops, were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League. The club was based in Des Moines, Iowa at the Wells Fargo Arena. History The Stars were founded by Howard Baldwin, of Hockey Holdings & Management Group, and Dallas businessman Bob Schlegel, who took the dormant Louisville Panthers AHL franchise and resurrected it for the 2005–06 season as the Iowa Stars (the same name as an earlier team in 1969-70 in the Central Hockey League).
