Trevor Aaronson
Trevor Aaronson is an American journalist. He is a contributing writer at The Intercept and author of ''The Terror Factory: Inside the FBI's Manufactured War on Terrorism''. He was a 2020 ASU Future Security Fellow at New America and a 2015 TED Fellow. Aaronson is the creator and host of the documentary podcasts ''American ISIS'', which tells the story of Russell Dennison, an American who joined the Islamic State as a fighter in Syria; and ''Chameleon: High Rollers'', which investigates an FBI undercover operation in Las Vegas. The Intercept
''The Intercept'' is an American left-wing news website founded by Glenn Greenwald, Jeremy Scahill, Laura Poitras and funded by billionaire eBay co-founder Pierre Omidyar. Its current editor is Betsy Reed. The publication initially reported on documents released by Edward Snowden and was considered to be "activist voice for privacy and civil liberties". Police Killing Of George Floyd
On , George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, was murdered in the U.S. city of Minneapolis by Derek Chauvin, a 44-year-old white police officer. Floyd had been arrested on suspicion of using a counterfeit $20 bill. Chauvin knelt on Floyd's neck for over nine minutes while Floyd was handcuffed and lying face-down in a street. The MOLLY National Journalism Prize is awarded annually by the Texas Democracy Foundation dba ''The Texas Observer''.
