Toussaint L'Ouverture Tyler (first name pronounced "Too-San",Florence, Mal (December 30, 1980). "Husky Star: For El Camino's Tyler, the Name is One of a Kind". ''Los Angeles Times'': p. B1. born March 19, 1959) is a former running back in the National Football League (NFL). He played with New Orleans Saints in 1981 NFL season, 1981 and 1982 NFL season, 1982. Born in Barstow, California, Tyler moved to Oceanside, California, Oceanside where he starred as Halfback (American football), halfback at El Camino High School (Oceanside), El Camino High School. After receiving a number of awards following his senior season, he was recruited to the Washington Huskies football, University of Washington, where he played mainly as a Fullback (American football), fullback. A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. The primary roles of a running back are to receive American football plays#Offensive terminology, handoffs from the quarterback to Rush (American football)#Offense, rush the ball, to line up as a receiver to catch the ball, and Blocking (American football), block. There are usually one or two running backs on the field for a given play, depending on the offensive formation.
