Torres Calcio Femminile
Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica FC Sassari Torres Femminile (usually referred to simply as Torres or sometimes named Eurospin Torres due to sponsorship) is an Italian women's association football club based in Sassari, Sardinia. The club was formed in 1980 and competed in women's Serie A until 2015. Torres's colours were blue and red. The team won seven ''scudetti'' and eight Italian Women's Cups. They were refused a license for the 2015–16 Serie A season due to debts and now compete in Serie B. After winning two doubles in 2000 and 2001, Torres became the first team to represent Italy in the newly founded UEFA Women's Cup. After 2009–10 the team was a regular competitor in the rebranded UEFA Women's Champions League, reaching the quarter-finals on three occasions. Stadio Vanni Sanna
Stadio Vanni Sanna (formerly known as Stadio Acquedotto) is a multi-use stadium in Sassari, Italy. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of S.E.F. Torres 1903 and U.S.D. Latte Dolce. The stadium holds 12,000. History Its first name was "Torres stadium", changed in the seventies to "Acquedotto stadium". Torres is an Italian football club based in the city of Sassari. It plays in Serie C, the third division of the Italian football league system. Re-founded in 2017, the club is the continuation of the Società per l'Educazione Fisica Torres, born in 1903 and reconstituted thrice throughout its history. Together with Ilvamaddalena, it is the oldest association football, football club in Sardinia. The highest division it took part in was the Italian football league system, third tier. It played thirty seasons, making Sassari the most populous city in Italy that has never had a team in Serie B. Patrizia Panico (; born 8 February 1975) is an Italian former footballer who is the current manager of Italy U16. A prolific goalscorer, Panico is a longstanding member of the Italy women's national team; she won over 185 caps for Italy, and also served as her national side's captain. The International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) is an organisation that chronicles the history and records of association football. It was founded in 1984 by Alfredo Pöge in Leipzig. The IFFHS was based in Abu Dhabi for some time but, in 2010, relocated to Bonn, Germany, and then in 2014 to Zürich.
