Torbjörn Ek
Torbjörn Ek (25 June 1949, Ljusdal - 18 August 2010, Ljusdal) was a Swedish bandy and football player and manager. He was considered one of the country's top bandy players during the 1970s and early 1980s. Ek was capped 102 times for the Swedish national bandy team, scoring 89 goals, and was a member of silver-medal winning teams at the Bandy World Cup on 6 occasions. He was a member of the team which won the junior bandy world cup in 1967. In 1975 Ek's team Ljusdals BK won the Swedish bandy league. He managed the Swedish national bandy team for 1 match, in 1993. Ek also had an elite football career, playing in 62 Allsvenskan matches, for AIK (1971–1973) and GIF Sundsvall Gymnastik- och Idrottsföreningen Sundsvall, more commonly known as GIF Sundsvall (), Giffarna or simply Sundsvall, is a Swedish professional football club based in Sundsvall. Ljusdal
Ljusdal () is a locality and the seat of Ljusdal Municipality, Gävleborg County, Sweden with 6,230 inhabitants in 2010. Ljusdal is situated on Riksväg 83 which runs between Tönnebro in Söderhamn Municipality in Gävleborg County and Ånge in Västernorrland County. It is located beside the river Ljusnan which goes from Bruksvallarna to the Gulf of Bothnia. Ljusdal is noted for having hosted the annual Bandy World Cup in the sport of bandy from 1974 to 2008. Three Decorated Farmhouses of Hälsingland situated in Ljusdal Municipality were inscribed in 2012 on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. Västerås ( , , ) is a city in central Sweden on the shore of Lake Mälaren in the province of Västmanland, west of Stockholm. The city had a population of 127,799 at the end of 2019, out of the municipal total of 154,049. Västerås is the seat of Västerås Municipality, the capital of Västmanland County and an episcopal see.
