Tor Mikkel Wara
Tor Mikkel Wara (born 27 December 1964) is a Norwegian politician from the Progress Party, who has served as Justice and Immigration Minister from 2018 to 2019 after the resignation of Sylvi Listhaug. Biography Early career Wara was born in Karasjok, and was a member of the Oslo municipality council between 1987 and 1989. During the same period he was the chairman of the Youth of the Progress Party, and became known as a young rising star within the party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament for the Progress Party from Oslo in 1989, and became deputy leader of the party in 1991. In 1993, he left the Progress Party and quit active politics. While he was one of the main players of the young libertarians within the party in the early 1990s, he was contrary to popular belief not part of the " Dolkesjø" incident in 1994, having left the party the year before. 1994 Progress Party National Convention
The 1994 national convention of the Progress Party of Norway was held from 15 April to 17 April at the hotel Bolkesjø Turisthotell in Bolkesjø, Telemark. It was originally set up to be a normal convention with 157 delegates in a non-election year, but because of mounting antagonism between a traditionalist and a libertarian faction, it became clear some months before the conventions that personal positions could be at stake. The party leader seat, held by Carl I. Hagen since 1978, was up for re-election. The deputy leaders Ellen Wibe and Hans J. Røsjorde was not up for election until 1995, but there were talks about forming a motion of no confidence against Wibe. Jan Erik Fåne (born 25 September 1965 in Oslo) is a Norwegian politician for the Progress Party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Akershus in 1989, but was not re-elected in 1993. On the local level, Fåne was a member of the executive council of Oppegård municipal council from 1987 to 1989, and of Ullensaker Ullensaker is a municipality in Akershus in Viken county, Norway. He served as Minister of Transport and Communications from 2018 to 2020 and Minister of Agriculture and Food from 2015 to 2018. ''Dagsrevyen'' (English: ''The Daily Review'') is the daily evening news programme for the Norwegian television channel NRK1, the main channel of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK), broadcast at 19:00.
