Todd Kaminsky
Todd Kaminsky is an American attorney and politician from the state of New York. A Democrat, he was a member of the New York State Senate representing the 9th district, which is based on the South Shore of Long Island. Early life and career Kaminsky was born and raised in Long Beach, New York on Long Island. He received his A.B. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Michigan, and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from New York University Law School. Kaminsky worked as an assistant district attorney in the Queens County District Attorney's Office, prosecuting domestic violence cases, robberies, shootings and other violent crimes. He then joined the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Eastern District of New York as an Assistant United States Attorney, where he worked for six years. New York's 9th State Senate District
New York's 9th State Senate district is one of 63 districts in the New York State Senate that is currently vacant. It was most recently represented by Democrat Todd Kaminsky until July 2022. He first won in an April 2016 special election to replace Republican Majority Leader Dean Skelos, who had been expelled from the body on corruption charges. Geography District 9 is located almost entirely within the town of Hempstead in southwestern Nassau County on Long Island. It also includes the small city of Long Beach. Carl Edward Heastie (; born September 25, 1967) is an American politician from New York (state), New York. Heastie has served in the New York State Assembly since January 2001, and was elected Speaker of the New York State Assembly on February 3, 2015. James Rosemond often known as Jimmy Henchman or sometimes Jimmy Henchmen, is an American entertainment record executive and convicted drug trafficker. Michael Gerard Grimm (born February 7, 1970) is an American politician and convicted felon, who represented New York in the United States Congress from 2011 to 2015 until his conviction and resignation from Congress. Jimmy Kuang Zui Meng (, born 1944) is a Chinese-Taiwanese American former politician, who served as a member of the New York State Assembly. Pedro Espada Jr
Pedro Espada Jr. (born October 20, 1953) is an American convicted felon and former politician. A Democrat, Espada served in the New York Senate. Espada was at the center of a June 2009 power struggle in the State Senate. He was one of two Democratic senators who voted to appoint Republican Dean Skelos as Majority Leader. After his return to the Democratic caucus on July 9, 2009, Espada was chosen as Senate Majority Leader; he is the first Hispanic to have held that post. Dogged by scandals, he was defeated by Gustavo Rivera in a September 2010 primary election.
