Tochal Complex
Tochal Complex consists of many recreational and sports facilities located in Velenjak, north of Tehran. Tochal Telecabin (gondola lift) Tochal Telecabin is one of the world's longest gondola lift lines, with a length of 7500 m. The project started in 1974 by Bahman Batmanghelidj and associates and has been open to the public since 1978. It starts at the Velenjak Valley, north of Tehran, at an altitude of 1900 m, and ends at the last station at an altitude of 3740 m, near the main ridge of Mount Tochal. The gondola lift is used to access ski resorts and other recreational centres on the mountain. Tochal ( fa, توچال ), is a mountain and ski resort located on the Alborz mountain range, adjacent to the metropolitan area of Tehran in northern Iran. It includes a ridge. Its highest peak, also called ''Tochal'', is at an elevation of . A gondola lift runs from Tehran to the Tochal ski resort and hotel, all as a part of Tochal Complex. Gondola Lifts In Iran
The gondola (, ; vec, góndoła ) is a traditional, flat-bottomed Venetian rowing boat, well suited to the conditions of the Venetian lagoon. It is typically propelled by a gondolier, who uses a rowing oar, which is not fastened to the hull, in a sculling manner and also acts as the rudder. The uniqueness of the gondola includes its being asymmetrical along the length making the single-oar propulsion more efficient. For centuries, the gondola was a major means of transportation and the most common watercraft within Venice. In modern times, the boats still do have a role in public transport in the city, serving as ''traghetti'' (small ferries) over the Grand Canal operated by two oarsmen. Sabalan
Sabalan ( Persian: سبلان ) is an inactive stratovolcano in Ardabil Province of northwestern Iran. At in elevation, it is the third-highest mountain in Iran. It has a permanent crater lake formed at its summit. On one of its slopes around in elevation there are large rock formations of eroded volcanic outcrops that resemble animals, birds, and insects. Mount Sabalan Located in the extreme northwest of Iran, Sabalan is the country's third-highest peak after Damavand and Alam-Kuh. It is also slightly higher than Mont Blanc in the Alps. The mountain offers many attractions throughout the year. On the slopes of the mountain, the mineral water from springs attracts large numbers of tourists each year, many of whom have faith in healing properties attributed to the springs. Velenjak ( fa, ولنجک) is an affluent neighbourhood in the northwest of Tehran, Iran. Velenjak (Also Called Roof of Tehran) is located in the Shemiran area in the northernmost part of Tehran, on the slopes of the Alborz mountain range. It is known for its landscapes, mild climate, mountain air, springs, and wildlife.
