Tiger Aspect Productions (formerly known as Tiger Television from 1988 until 1993 and also known as Tiger Aspect Films for theatrical films) is a British television and film production company, particularly noted for its situation comedy, situation comedies. Founded by Peter Bennett-Jones, its productions have included popular hits such as ''Mr. Bean'' and ''The Vicar of Dibley''. A production company, production house, production studio, or a production team is a studio that creates works in the fields of performing arts, new media art, film, television, radio, comics, interactive arts, video games, websites, music, and video. Charlie And Lola (TV Series)
''Charlie and Lola'' is a British animated children's television series based on the popular children's picture book series of the same name by Lauren Child. The show started on 7 November 2005. The series was produced by Tiger Aspect Productions, and has won multiple BAFTA awards. The animation uses a collage style that emulates the style of the original books. Entertainment Film Distributors, Ltd. is a British distributor of independent films in the UK and Ireland for various production companies, founded by Michael L. Green and currently run by his son Nigel Green. Michael L. Green was a veteran producer/distributor involved in the film industry since the 1930s when he was a teenager. In 1972, he formed Variety the prolific film distributor. In 1978, Green closed Variety and with his two sons Nigel and Trevor formed Entertainment Film Distributors (and later its video arm Entertainment in Video), and was one of the leading forces in UK distribution. ''The Bad Education Movie'' is a 2015 British comedy film directed by Elliot Hegarty and written by Freddy Syborn and Jack Whitehall. Global Europe, officially the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument (NDICI), is the financial arm of the Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union, which provides funding for the European Neighbourhood Policy and the European Union Global Strategy in any third countries except for those currently on the EU enlargement agenda. Regional Screen Agencies
Following a review of the film infrastructure in England during 2000, the UK Film Council set up nine Regional Screen Agencies, one in each of the regions of England, to deliver support for film-making, exhibition and related media activities. The regional screen agency network was closed down in 2011, with a number of services consolidated into a new agency, Creative England, and the majority of screen agencies then folded. UK Film Council
The UK Film Council (UKFC) was a non-departmental public body set up in 2000 to develop and promote the film industry in the UK. It was constituted as a private company limited by guarantee, owned by the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, and governed by a board of 15 directors. It was funded from various sources including The National Lottery. John Woodward was the Chief Executive Officer of the UKFC. On 26 July 2010, the government announced that the council would be abolished. Although one of the parties elected into that government had, for some months, promised a ''bonfire of the Quangos'', Woodward said that the decision had been taken with "no notice and no consultation". Film4 Productions is a British film production company owned by Channel Four Television Corporation. The company has been responsible for backing many films made in the United Kingdom.
