Throne Of Blood
is a 1957 Japanese '' jidaigeki'' film co-written, produced, edited, and directed by Akira Kurosawa, with special effects by Eiji Tsuburaya. The film transposes the plot of William Shakespeare's play ''Macbeth'' from Medieval Scotland to feudal Japan, with stylistic elements drawn from Noh drama. The film stars Toshiro Mifune and Isuzu Yamada in the lead roles, modelled on the characters Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. As with the play, the film tells the story of a warrior who assassinates his sovereign at the urging of his ambitious wife. Akira Kurosawa

Malcolm is a character in William Shakespeare's ''Macbeth'' (c. 1603–1607). The character is based on the historical king Malcolm III of Scotland, and is derived largely from the account in ''Holinshed's Chronicles'' (1587), a history of Britain. He is the elder son of King Duncan, the heir to the throne, and brother to Donalbain. In the end, he regains the throne after mustering support to overthrow Macbeth. Fleance (also spelled Fléance, ) is a figure in legendary Scottish history. He was depicted by 16th-century historians as the son of Lord Banquo, Thane of Lochaber, and the ancestor of the kings of the House of Stuart. Lord Macduff, the Thane of Fife, is a character and the main antagonist in William Shakespeare's ''Macbeth'' (c.1603–1607) that is loosely based on history.
