Thomas F. Cowan
Thomas F. Cowan (April 17, 1927 – January 17, 2010) was an American Democratic party politician from Jersey City, New Jersey. Cowan served three terms each in the New Jersey General Assembly and the New Jersey Senate, representing the 32nd Legislative District. Cowan served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. After his service, he studied at Seton Hall University, graduating with a bachelor of arts degree. He worked for Local 825 of the International Union of Operating Engineers as a crane operator and worked his vocation for many years. Eventually, Tom went from laborer to a representative of the laborer becoming a business agent of Local 825 of the International Union of Operating Engineers. Cowan's first run for political office was in 1973, when he lost an election for a seat on the Jersey City City Council. In cinematography, the dolly grip is a dedicated technician trained to operate the camera dolly. This technician places, levels, and moves the dolly track, then pushes and pulls the dolly and usually a camera operator and camera assistant as riders. If the dolly has a moveable vertical axis, such as a hydraulic arm, then the dolly grip also operates the "boom". If both axes are used simultaneously, this type of tracking shot, dolly shot is known as a compound move. A dolly grip must work closely with the camera crew to perfect these complex movements (cinematic techniques) during rehearsals. Focusing the lens is critical to capturing a sharp image, so a dolly grip must hit his or her marks in concert with a camera assistant who pulls focus. It is a skill that experience can hone to a point, but the best dolly grips are known for their "touch," and that makes them highly sought-after. Nicholas Sacco
Nicholas J. Sacco (born November 17, 1946) is an American Democratic Party politician, who has been serving in the New Jersey State Senate since 1994, where he represents the 32nd Legislative District. Sacco serves in the Senate as the chairman of the Transportation Committee, and is also a member of the Law and Public Safety and Veterans' Affairs Committee. He concurrently serves as mayor of North Bergen as he is allowed to hold two offices under a grandfather clause in a bill that prohibited dual office holding. Sacco announced on February 24, 2022 that he would not seek re-election for state senate. Personal life Sacco was born in Jersey City on November 17, 1946.
