Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen Song)
"Hallelujah" is a song written by Canadian singer Leonard Cohen, originally released on his album ''Various Positions'' (1984). Achieving little initial success, the song found greater popular acclaim through a new version recorded by John Cale in 1991. Cale's version inspired a 1994 recording by Jeff Buckley that in 2004 was ranked number 259 on ''Rolling Stone'''s "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time". The song achieved widespread popularity after Cale's version of it was featured in the 2001 film ''Shrek''. Many other arrangements have been performed in recordings and in concert, with over 300 versions known. The song has been used in film and television soundtracks and televised talent contests. Easy (Commodores Song)
"Easy" is a song by American band Commodores from their fifth studio album, ''Commodores'', released on the Motown label. Group member Lionel Richie wrote "Easy" with the intention of it becoming another crossover hit for the group given the success of a previous single, "Just to Be Close to You", which spent two weeks at number one on the US ''Billboard'' Hot Soul Singles chart (now known as the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart) and peaked at number seven on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in 1976. Released in March 1977, "Easy" reached number one on the ''Billboard'' Hot Soul Singles chart and number four on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. The success of "Easy" paved the way for similar Lionel Richie-composed hit ballads such as "Three Times a Lady" and "Still", and also for Richie's later solo hits. American rock band Faith No More covered the song in 1992 and released it as a single in December of that year. This version became a worldwide hit, reaching number one in Australia and becoming a ...

Crazy (Gnarls Barkley Song)
"Crazy" is the debut single by American soul duo Gnarls Barkley, taken from their 2006 debut album '' St. Elsewhere''. It peaked at number two on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and topped the charts in the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and several other countries. The song was leaked in late 2005, months before its regular release: it received airplay on BBC Radio 1 in the United Kingdom, and radio DJ Zane Lowe also used the song in television commercials for his show. When it was finally released in March 2006, it became the first single to top the UK Singles Chart on download sales alone. The song remained at the top of the British charts for nine weeks, the longest number-one spell for more than ten years. The band and their record company then decided to remove the single from music stores in the country so people would "remember the song fondly and not get sick of it". In spite of this deletion, the song was the best-selling single of 2006 in the UK. Due to cont ...

It was released on October 11, 1988, as the second single from the album. After recording sessions were completed, Brown and producer Gene Griffin traveled to New York City, since he felt something was "missing" from the record. "My Prerogative" was written by Brown as a response to the criticism he received for his departure from New Edition. He explained the song was about making decisions in one's life and not caring about other people's judgment. "My Prerogative" is often considered as new jack swing. The song was positively received by critics and was nominated for a Soul Train Music Award in the category of Best R&B Urban Contemporary Single. It was also commercially successful, reaching number one in ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard''s Billboard Hot 100, Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. "My Prerogative" also reached top ten ...
