The Lodhi is an Indian luxury hotel located in Lutyens' Delhi. The property is spread across seven acres near the Lodhi Gardens, which is at the centre of the Indian capital city. It is the only Indian hotel among The Leading Hotels of the World. The Lodhi is often ranked as one of the top hotels in India and Asia. It is also known for its Indian Accent restaurant. Originally known as Aman New Delhi, the hotel was owned and operated by the India Tourism Development Corporation. Lutyens' Delhi
Lutyens' Delhi is an area in New Delhi, India, named after the British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens (1869–1944), who was responsible for much of the architectural design and building during the period of the British Raj, when India was part of the British Empire in the 1920s and 1930s and 1940s. This also includes the Lutyens Bungalow Zone (LBZ). Sir Edwin Lutyens, the architect of Delhi, designed 4 bungalows in the Rashtrapati Bhavan Estate, (Viceroy House Estate); now, these bungalows lie on the Mother Teresa Crescent (then Willingdon Crescent). Lutyens, apart from designing the Viceroy's House, designed large government building and was involved with town planning. Lodhi Gardens
Lodi Gardens is a city park situated in New Delhi, India. Spread over , it contains Mohammed Shah's Tomb, the Tomb of Sikandar Lodi, the Shisha Gumbad and the Bara Gumbad, architectural works of the 15th century by Lodis - who ruled parts of northern India and Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of modern-day Pakistan, from 1451 to 1526. The site is now protected by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). The gardens are situated between Khan Market and Safdarjung's Tomb on Lodi Road and is a popular spot for morning walks for the Delhites. Indian Accent is a restaurant located at The Lodhi hotel in New Delhi, India. It was established in 2009 by Rohit Khattar. It has outputs in New York City and London. Indian Accent ran at The Manor hotel for eight years, before moving to The Lodhi.
