Margaret Wise Brown
Margaret Wise Brown (May 23, 1910 – November 13, 1952) was an American writer of children's books, including '' Goodnight Moon'' and '' The Runaway Bunny'', both illustrated by Clement Hurd. She has been called "the laureate of the nursery" for her achievements. Life and career Brown was born in Brooklyn, New York, the middle child of three of Maude Margaret (Johnson) and Robert Bruce Brown. She was the granddaughter of politician Benjamin Gratz Brown. Her parents had an unhappy marriage. She was initially raised in Brooklyn's Greenpoint neighborhood, and attended Chateau Brilliantmont boarding school in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1923, while her parents were living in India and Canterbury, Connecticut. Gideon Yago (born February 19, 1978) is a writer and former correspondent for MTV News and CBS News though he is most recognized for his contributions to MTV. Background Yago was born in Madison, Wisconsin to a German-born, Roman Catholic mother and a Jewish father who met in Israel. His mother was a psychoanalyst and his father an economist. He grew up in Queens, New York and graduated from the Kew-Forest School where he wrote and published a zine called Corpuscle. He graduated from Columbia University and began working for MTV News during the presidential election of 2000. Katharine Weber
Katharine Weber (born November 12, 1955) is an American novelist and nonfiction writer. She has taught fiction and nonfiction writing at Yale University, Goucher College, the Paris Writers Workshop and elsewhere. She held the Visiting Richard L. Thomas Chair in Creative Writing at Kenyon College from 2012 to 2019. Life and work Weber was born in New York City, the daughter of Andrea (née Warburg; 9/29/1922-1/18/2009) and Sidney Kaufman (died 1983). Derek Bryson Park (born April 11, 1956) is an American businessman and public servant. Park has held a number of public positions in his career, including director of the Federal Home Loan Banks, vice-chairman of New York City Industrial Development Agency and director of the New York City Economic Development Corporation. Park has also worked in finance at several firms, including Cohane Rafferty Securities, Lehman Brothers and Wilmington Capital Securities.
