The Gloria Record
The Gloria Record was an American rock band from Austin, Texas, a side-project of former Mineral vocalist Chris Simpson and bassist Jeremy Gomez. The group was formed it in 1997, together with guitarist Brian Hubbard and drummer Matt Hammon. They released two EPs through Crank! A Record Company, a self-titled EP (1999) and ''A Lull in Traffic'' (2000), before issuing their debut album ''Start Here'' through Arena Rock Recording Company in 2002. While working on its follow-up, the group disbanded in May 2004. History After disbanding Mineral in 1997, frontman Chris Simpson and bassist Jeremy Gomez formed a new band. Ovenbirds
Ovenbirds or furnariids are a large family of small suboscine passerine birds found from Mexico and Central to southern South America. They form the family Furnariidae. This is a large family containing around 315 species and 70 genera. The ovenbird (''Seiurus aurocapilla''), which breeds in North America, is not a furnariid – rather it is a distantly related bird of the wood warbler family, Parulidae. The Stereo
The Stereo is a pop-rock and roll band started in early 1999 by former ska-punk band frontmen Jamie Woolford (of Animal Chin) and Rory Phillips (of The Impossibles). The pair were initially brought together on recommendation of their record label Fueled By Ramen. The duo released their debut album ''Three Hundred'' in summer 1999. Over their recording and touring history, the band endured a number of line-up changes. Singer-songwriter Woolford was always affiliated with the group and composed all selections on subsequent releases. The group disbanded in early 2004 with Woolford and bassist Chris Serafini reconvening to form the band Let Go. Gratitude (band)
Gratitude was an American alternative rock band that existed from 2003 to 2005. History Gratitude was formed in 2003 by Mark Weinberg (originally of the band Crumb) and Thomas Becker (originally of the Get Up Kids). Initially called the Collision, the band was joined by Bob Lindsey on bass and Robby Cronholm (also formerly of Crumb) on vocals. After touring in 2002 with New End Original, which featured Far alum Jonah Matranga and Jeremy Tappero, Cronholm left the band and was replaced by Matranga. When Matranga joined, the band changed their name from the Collision to Gratitude. After picking up Matranga and changing their name, Gratitude signed to Atlantic Records. Attention (band)
Attention is a rock band from Minneapolis, MN. Featuring former members of The Stereo, Gloria Record, New End Original and Gratitude, Attention is singer/guitarist Jeremy Tappero, drummer David Jarnstrom, guitarist Eric Fairchild, and bassist Derek Ritchison. The band released their first album in 2003, with the LP "Say What You Mean What You Say" which was released on Suburban Home Records. Attention played live both locally and on many national tours, but was put on hiatus when Jeremy and David took over the guitar and drum duties in Gratitude. After the breakup of Gratitude, Jeremy and David returned to Attention in the later part of 2005 to record a new CD. "Yeah..
