The Authors Of Pain
Legion of Pain are a professional wrestling tag team consisting of Sunny Dhinsa and Gzim Selmani. They are best known for their time in WWE as the Authors of Pain, under the ring names Akam and Rezar, where they are former one-time Raw Tag Team Champions and one-time NXT Tag Team Champions. Akam and Rezar first teamed up in June 2016, paired with manager Paul Ellering in WWE's then developmental league NXT. They won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in 2016, leading to them winning the NXT Tag Team Championship. In April 2018, Akam and Rezar were promoted to the Raw brand, with Drake Maverick taking over as their manager. AOP took a hiatus in early 2019. They returned later that year, but without Maverick as their manager, and later allying themselves with Seth Rollins. They were released in September 2020. Akam (wrestler)
Sunny Dhinsa (born May 20, 1993) is a Canadian professional wrestler and former amateur wrestler. He is best known for his time with the WWE, where he performed under the ring name Akam. After signing with WWE in 2014, he has since teamed with Rezar as part of The Authors of Pain, with whom he has held the NXT Tag Team Championship and WWE Raw Tag Team Championship once, and they also won the 2016 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament. Early life Sunny Dhinsa was born on May 20, 1993, in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Amateur wrestling career Dhinsa attended Simon Fraser University, where he was a standout collegiate wrestler. He won the Canadian national freestyle wrestling champion in 2011, 2012 and 2013 in the heavyweight category. It is produced by the American professional wrestling promotion WWE, featuring performers from the promotion's NXT brand division. John Anthony Nicholas Gargano (born August 14, 1987) is an American professional wrestler best known under the ring name Johnny Gargano. He is currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the Raw brand. He is best known for his time in NXT, where he became the first-ever NXT Triple Crown winner by winning the NXT Championship once, the NXT North American Championship for a record three times, and the NXT Tag Team Championship once. DIY (professional Wrestling)
DIY (often stylized as #DIY) was an American professional wrestling tag team composed of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa. The team performed in WWE on the NXT (WWE brand), NXT WWE brand extension, brand. They also occasionally wrestled for other promotions, including AAW Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG). Created on August 13, 2015, the team went on to win the NXT Tag Team Championship before breaking up at NXT TakeOver: Chicago on May 20, 2017 when Ciampa turned on Gargano.
