State Highway 4 (SH 4), known locally as Boca Chica Boulevard, is an east–west state highway in the U.S. state of Texas that runs from the Gateway International Bridge in Brownsville to the Gulf of Mexico at Boca Chica Beach. Outside of Brownsville, it roughly parallels the Rio Grande. It is the southernmost Texas state highway. History left, 100px SH 4 was one of the original twenty-five state highways proposed on June 21, 1917, overlaid on top of the Del Rio – Canadian Highway. From 1917 the routing mostly followed present-day U.S. Highway 83 from Perryton, Childress, to Aspermont. From there, it followed present-day FM 610 and SH 70 to Blackwell. It then continued down present-day U.S. Highway 277 into San Angelo and Sonora and Del Rio. On February 7, 1919, SH 4 was rerouted to end at Uvalde, and the old route from Sonora to Del Rio was cancelled. On April 22, 1919, the branch to Del Rio was restored. State Highway 107 (SH 107) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Texas that runs from Mission to Combes in Deep South Texas. Route description SH 107 begins at an intersection with Interstate 2/ US Route 83 in Mission and travels north through the center of town. It reaches an intersection with the old routing of US 83 and Texas State Highway 495 in Mission before exiting to the north. It passes through Palmhurst and Alton before turning right on Mile 7 Road. It then travels east through McAllen into downtown Edinburg, where it intersects the Business Route of US Route 281 and then I-69C/US 281 just to the east. Texas State Highway 7
State Highway 7 (SH 7) is an east–west state highway that runs from Interstate 35 at Eddy to U.S. Highway 84 about west of the Texas-Louisiana state line. Between Crockett and Nacogdoches, SH 7 passes through the Davy Crockett National Forest. Commissioned on April 4, 1917, SH 7 is one of the original state highways established in Texas, and has been re-routed several times since its original conception. In earlier years, SH 7 mostly followed present day U.S. Highway 84, U.S. Highway 67, U.S. Highway 70 among other highways between northwest Texas and the Louisiana border. State Highway 92 (SH 92) is a state highway that runs between Stamford and Rotan, Texas. SH 92 was originally designated in 1923-1924 from Bronson to Hemphill. SH 92 was also designated on March 17, 1924, between Stamford and Hamlin. For 3 months, there were two highways numbered SH 92. On June 16, 1924, the SH 92 from Bronson to Hemphill was cancelled, leaving only one SH 92 from Stamford to Hamlin. Hamlin, Texas
Hamlin is a city in Jones and Fisher Counties in the U.S. state of Texas. The population was 2,124 at the 2010 census, and in 2018, the estimated population was 1,997. The Jones County portion of Hamlin is part of the Abilene, Texas metropolitan area. History The city was named for W. H. Hamlin, a railroad official of the Kansas City, Mexico and Orient Railway. The Orient reached Hamlin in 1906 and was followed by the Texas Central Railroad within a few years and by the Abilene and Southern Railroad in 1910. Texas State Highway 70
State Highway 70 (SH 70) is a state highway in Texas. The route runs approximately from US 277 near Blackwell to US 83 south of Perryton. Route description SH 70 begins in far northeastern Coke County at a junction with US 277 north of Bronte. The highway soon crosses into Nolan County, where it serves as the northern terminus of SH 153. State Highway 55 (SH 55) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Texas. It runs from Uvalde northwestward through the western Hill Country onto the Edwards Plateau, ending south of Sonora.
