The Texas Band of Yaqui Indians is a cultural heritage organization for individuals who identify as descendants of Yaqui people, and are dedicated to cultural and ethnic awareness of the Yaqui. Yaqui People
The Yaqui, Hiaki, or Yoeme, are a Native American people of the southwest, who speak a Uto-Aztecan language. Their homelands include the Río Yaqui valley in Sonora, Mexico, and the area below the Gila River in Arizona, Southwestern United States. They also have communities in Chihuahua and Durango, Mexico. Charles Perry is an American politician and accountant serving as a member of the Texas Senate from the 28th district. He assumed office on September 30, 2014. He was previously a member of the Texas House of Representatives for the 83rd district from 2010 to 2014. Early life and education Perry is a native of Lubbock, Texas.
