Tampoketsa Analamaitso Special Reserve
Tampoketsa Analamaitso Reserve is a wildlife reserve of Madagascar located in the Sofia Region. It covers 17 150 ha in the three districts : Port Bergé, Mandritsara and Mampikony. This reserve covers humid dense forests of average altitude and dense dry forests in the west. Boriziny (French: Port-Bergé) is a city (commune urbaine) in western Madagascar in Sofia Region. Geography It is situated at the Route nationale 6 near the bay of Helodrano. Mandritsara
Mandritsara is a city and commune (commune urbain, mg, kaominina) in northern Madagascar. It belongs to the Districts of Madagascar, district of Mandritsara District, Mandritsara, which is a part of Sofia Region. The population of the commune was estimated to be approximately 17,000 in 2001 commune census. Farming and raising livestock provides employment for 40% and 35% of the working population. The most important crop is rice, while other important products are peanuts and cassava. Services provide employment for 25% of the population. Brown Mouse Lemur
The brown mouse lemur (''Microcebus rufus'') is a small primate, and like the other mouse lemurs can only be found on the island of Madagascar. They are known also as the rufous mouse lemur, eastern rufous mouse lemur, red mouse lemur, or russet mouse lemur. Its dorsal side is brown or reddish-brown, while ventrally it is a whitish-grey. It was originally considered a subspecies of the gray mouse lemur (''Microcebus murinus'') until 1977, when it was reclassified as a separate species. Dwarf Lemur
The dwarf lemurs are the lemurs of the genus ''Cheirogaleus''. All of the species in this genus, like all other lemurs, are native to Madagascar. Description Measuring 19–27 cm in body length with a tail about 16–17 cm, they are larger than the mouse lemur but smaller than the gentle lemur. Their heads are globular compared to the fox-like heads of the lemurs, but their muzzles are more pointed than those of the hapalemurs.
