Talara Province
Talara is a province in the Piura Region, Peru. It is bordered by the Pacific Ocean on the west, the Paita Province on the south, the Sullana Province on the east and the Tumbes Region's Contralmirante Villar Province on the north. Its capital is the major port city of Talara. It also contains the beach resort of Máncora. The province was created by the President Manuel A. Odría in 1956. Attractions The province has tourist attractions such as the Máncora beach resort, Cabo Blanco beach, Punta Balcones, Pariñas Forest, Amotape mountains, a whale fossils deposit, Plataforma del Zócalo Continental, Punta Arenas HousesTalara Refineryand the Talara Civic Centre. Provinces Of Peru
The provinces of Peru () are the second-level administrative subdivisions of the country. They are divided into Districts of Peru, districts ( es, distritos, links=no). There are 196 provinces in Peru, grouped into 25 Regions of Peru, regions, except for Lima Province which does not belong to any region. This makes an average of seven provinces per region. The region with the fewest provinces is Callao (one) and the region with the most is Ancash Region, Ancash (twenty). While provinces in the sparsely populated Amazon rain forest of eastern Peru tend to be larger, there is a large concentration of them in the north-central area of the country. Punta Arenas, Peru
Punta Arenas is a planned community, originally built by American contractors, located in the northern area of Peru, in the city of Talara, Piura Region, Piura. Punta Arenas was designed to house the supervisors and Business administration, administrative staff of the International Petroleum Company (IPC), which was later to become BP, BP Oil. There is a resemblance between Punta Arenas and the area of Coral Gables, Florida, which is coincidentally where the headquarters of the IPC used to be in the 1940s. The neighborhood was organized around the letters of the alphabet. Each block of ten houses was assigned a letter, and each house was given a number. Therefore, a given house would be B-10, or W-5. As years went by, and as need for more houses grew, letter combinations like CH and Z were added. Punta Pariñas
Punta Pariñas, also known as Punta Balcones, is in the La Brea District, Talara Province, Piura Region, Peru. It is the westernmost point in mainland South America, located at . An active lighthouse is located in Punta Pariñas. There is a popular beach just south of the cape, and visitors can climb the headland to see seals below. It is named in chapter three of the first season of Los Simuladores. It is also known for a traditional dessert called "The DUL-CE-CI-TO".
