Türk Maarif Koleji (), commonly referred to as Kolej, is a selective secondary education institute in Nicosia, Northern Cyprus. Access to the school is only open to students with top score in a nationwide entrance exam. It is an English-medium school. The school is famous with their highly successful academic programme, consecutively receiving national and international awards. The school is also very successful in sports, musical competitions and science olympiads. The school follows the English curriculum, preparing students for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education and the GCE Advanced Level examinations. However, students are allowed to follow the Turkish curriculum from Year 10 if they choose to prepare for Yükseköğretim Kurumları Sınavı. Özdil Nami
Özdil Nami (born 23 May 1967) is a British-born Turkish Cypriot politician. He has served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Northern Cyprus and the Turkish Cypriot Special Representative in the negotiations to solve the Cyprus dispute. He currently serves as the Minister of Economy and Energy of Northern Cyprus. Nami was born in London on 23 May 1967. He studied business in the Boğaziçi University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, in Istanbul, Turkey, graduating in 1988, and went on to complete a master's degree in finance in the University of California, Berkeley in 1991. The Council of Ministers () is the executive branch of the government of the unrecognized state Northern Cyprus, consisting of Political minister, ministers. The council is chaired by the Prime Minister of Northern Cyprus and the ministers head executive departments of the government. The President of Northern Cyprus reserved the right to chair the Council of Ministers, albeit without voting. The maximum number of ministries, as defined by the Constitution of Northern Cyprus, constitution, is ten. Assembly Of The Republic (Northern Cyprus)
The Assembly of the Republic () is the parliament of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. It has 50 members, elected for a five-year term by mitigated proportional representation. A party must cross the electoral threshold (5% of the total vote) to be awarded any seats. The parliament is composed of 50 MPs, chosen from six electoral districts, which are coterminous with the districts of Northern Cyprus: Lefkoşa, Gazimağusa, Girne, Güzelyurt, Lefke and İskele. The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus takes place in a framework of a semi-presidential representative democratic republic. The president is head of state and the prime minister head of government, and of a multi-party system. Executive power is exercised by the government. Tufan Erhürman
Tufan Erhürman (born 1970) is a Turkish Cypriot academic, lawyer, diplomat and a former Prime Minister of Northern Cyprus. A scholar in public law by profession, he served in the negotiations to solve the Cyprus dispute between 2008 and 2010. He previously worked for the Ministry of Justice of Turkey between 1999 and 2004 and worked for the establishment of the position of ombudsman in Turkey. He is the current leader of Republican Turkish Party. He held the office of Prime Minister beginning January 2018 as the leader of a four-party coalition. The coalition government resigned on 9 May 2019, with Erhürman continuing as Prime Minister until the office was taken over by Ersin Tatar on 22 May 2019.
