Tóth
Tóth (sometimes Tót or Toth) is a Hungarian surname, Hungarian ethnonymic surname that was an older term related to the "Tótok" meaning Slavs (of Slavonia i.e. Croats, also Slovenes and Slovaks), since one of the Hungarian names for Slavic parts of Kingdom of Hungary was ''Tóthország''. ''Tót'' has also been a more general Slavic reference, per toponyms like Tótszerdahely and Tótszentmárton on the southern border of Hungary. Amarissa Tóth
Amarissa Kiara Tóth (born 10 February 2003) is a Hungarian tennis player. Tóth has career-high WTA rankings of 275 in singles, attained on 9 June 2025, and 264 in doubles, achieved on 3 October 2022. She made her WTA Tour main-draw debut at the 2021 Budapest Grand Prix, where she received a wildcard into the doubles tournament. During her round of 32 match at the 2023 Budapest Grand Prix – Singles, 2023 Budapest Grand Prix against Zhang Shuai, Tóth erased a ball mark after Zhang's shot was called out by the umpire despite repeated calls by Zhang for Tóth to not smear the mark. Zhang insisted the shot was in, which seemed to be the case, and retired from the match shortly after the incident citing a severe panic attack. Tóth was condemned by many players and fans alike for her allegedly unsportsmanlike behavior. A few days after the incident, Tóth apologized for her actions. Andrea "Andi" Tóth (born 18 January 1999) is a Hungarian actress and singer, most notable for winning of the fifth series of ''X-Faktor'', acting in the television show ''Válótársak'', and for participating in '' A Dal''. Life Tóth was born in Oradea (''Nagyvárad''), in Romania on 18 January 1999. She has been interested in singing since childhood and went to the Lyceum of Arts in her hometown, where she studied drawing. Aladár Tóth
Aladár Tóth (4 February 189828 October 1968) was a Hungarian musicologist and opera manager, regarded as a leading music critic in Hungary between the world wars, writing for '' Nyugat'', among others. He was instrumental in the recognition of composers such as Zoltán Kodály and Béla Bartók. He was general manager of the Hungarian State Opera from 1946 to 1956. Annamária Tóth ( Kovács, 14 September 1945 – 16 July 2023) was a Hungarian athlete who competed in various disciplines. Biography Annamária Kovács was born in Budapest on 14 September 1945. Ágota Lykovcán (''née'' Tóth; born 2 September 1987) is a Hungarian long track speed skater who participates in international competitions. She was previously known as Ágota Tóth, but after she got married on 10 November 2012, she took her husband's surname. Lykovcán is the current holder of the Hungarian record on 500 metres. Skating career Lykovcán's father, a former world champion weightlifter, showed her the beauty of the sport and took her to the City Park Ice Rink in Budapest. Alexander Toth (; June 25, 1928 – May 27, 2006) was an American cartoonist active from the 1940s through the 1980s. Toth's work began in the American comic book industry, but he is also known for his animation designs for Hanna-Barbera throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Endre Antal Miksa de Toth, known as Andre de Toth (; May 15, 1913 – October 27, 2002), was a Hungarian-American film director, born and raised in Makó, Austria-Hungary.
