Tyska Skolgränd
Tyska Skolgränd () is an alley in Gamla stan, the old town in central Stockholm, Sweden, stretching from Svartmangatan to Baggensgatan, and crossed by Själagårdsgatan. The present name of the street, first appeared as ''Tyska Scholæ Gatan'' on a map from the early 18th century. It is apparently derived from the German school in the late 16th century housed on number 8, Själagårdsgatan. The lot was thereafter bought by the German parish who had a first school building built in 1626, and a new completed in 1670. The building was subsequently enlarged and rebuilt on several occasions, the present buildings mostly date from 1887. The building, as it seem, was the one in general used by itinerant theatre groups in Stockholm during the 17th century. The German school was discontinued after more than 300 years, but a new German school, still in operation, was inaugurated on Östermalm in 1941. A cooper is a craftsman who produces wooden casks, barrels, vats, buckets, tubs, troughs, and other similar containers from timber staves that were usually heated or steamed to make them pliable. Yorushika
is a Japanese rock duo founded in 2017. The group is composed of N-buna, a Vocaloid producer, and Suis, a female vocalist. They are known for their juxtaposition of "passionate" and "upbeat" production and instrumentation fused with heavier lyrical content, which often explore ideas such as love and human emotion and draw from works of literature including Masuji Ibuse and Jules Verne. , is the first studio album by Japanese rock duo Yorushika. It was released on April 10, 2019 by . Overview It is a concept album based on the story of "Elma and Amy", written and illustrated by n-buna. The album contains a total of 14 songs by Amy, the protagonist of the story, who wrote them for Elma while travelling to different places in Sweden. The Album cover shows Amy standing in the crossroad of Tyska Skolgränd and Baggensgatan in Gamla Stan. Making N-buna had developed the idea of writing about a man who had quit music as a way of projecting his old self. He set the story in Sweden because of having lived there as a child and the influences it had on him. He went on a trip to Sweden alone and wrote the music there. He also came up with the idea for track 7, "In June, I Write About the Town After the Rain", in a hotel in Gamla Stan as he couldn't go out due to the rain. Östermalm
Östermalm (; "Eastern city-borough") is a 2.56 km2 large district in central Stockholm, Sweden. With 71,802 inhabitants, it is one of Sweden's most populous and exclusive districts. It is an extremely expensive area, having the highest housing prices in Sweden. Själagårdsgatan ( Swedish: "The Charitable Institution Street") is a street in Gamla stan, the old town in central Stockholm, Sweden. Stretching south from Köpmangatan to Tyska Brunnsplan, it forms a parallel street to Baggensgatan. It crosses the small triangular square Brända Tomten and is intercepted by Kindstugatan, Tyska Skolgränd, and Svartmangatan.
