Type 15 Frigate
The Type 15 frigate was a class of British anti-submarine frigates of the Royal Navy. They were conversions based on the hulls of World War II-era destroyers built to the standard War Emergency Programme "utility" design. History By 1945 the wartime "utility" vessels were obsolescent as destroyers due to their relatively small size and makeshift armament. Future construction would be based on ever larger vessels, such as the and . Rapid advances in German U-boat technology with the Type XXI and Type XXVI rendered even some of the most modern Royal Navy escorts obsolete. This technology was being put into production by the Soviet Navy in the form of the . The Royal Navy began designing and constructing new fast anti-submarine frigates of the Type 12 and Type 14 design to counter this threat. However, it would be some time before these vessels could be brought into service and budget constraints limited the number of new hulls that could be constructed. The solution to the ...

Peugeot Type 15
The Peugeot Type 15 was an early Peugeot model built from 1897 to 1901. Its production run of 276 vehicles was the highest by the company up to that point, and in excess of all previous models combined. Engine Peugeot ended its Daimler partnership and produced their first in-house engine for this car, made in their recently built Audincourt factory. Their transversely mounted flat-twin was a departure from this prior foreign-made V-twin engine. It produced 8 bhp. Famous owners Charles Rolls, who collaborated with Henry Royce to found the famous Rolls-Royce marque in 1906, owned a Peugeot Type 15 and established a dealership in Britain selling Peugeot and other French cars in 1902. BRM Type 15
The BRM Type 15 was a Formula One racing car of the early 1950s, and the first car produced by British Racing Motors. The car was fitted with a revolutionary and highly complex supercharged 1.5-litre British Racing Motors V16 which produced considerably more power than any of its contemporaries. The distinctive noise of the car made it a favourite with crowds wherever it appeared, but the initial unreliability of the car, its inability to live up to the hype that the project's leading figures had created around it, and the change to Formula Two regulations in 1952 meant the project never achieved the hoped-for level of success on the Grand Prix stage; the car's complexities meant it had a longer development time than its competitors and was not properly competitive until 1953 (3 years after it first raced), where it saw success at non-championship events. Background After the end of the Second World War motor racing slowly returned, based on whatever machinery could be found, l ...
