Two Colours (song)
"Two Colours" () is a 1964 song composed by Oleksandr Bilash, with lyrics by Dmytro Pavlychko. Though it was first performed by Anatoliy Mokrenko, it was neither recorded nor published until an October 1964 performance by Dmytro Hnatyuk. History According to Oleksandr Bilash's daughter, "Two Colours" was inspired by a 29 February 1964 congress of the Komsomol of Ukraine. Dmytro Pavlychko, who was attending the congress together with Bilash, noticed the handkerchief of Liudmyla Moldovan, a woman sitting in front of him. Explaining to his father the colouring of the handkerchief (which had a design of red roses on a black field), he said, "Red is love, and black — grief." (). Pavlychko was inspired by his own response to write a poem, and began writing down what would eventually become the first verse on his knee before showing it to Bilash, who was sitting next to him. Pavlychko and Bilash then left the congress for Vorzel, where they wrote the song together in half an hour. ...

''Two Colours EP'' is Feeder's first release on The Echo Label. Released on a 7" and a CD in 1995 (see 1995 in music), it is one of the hardest Feeder records to find nowadays (the hardest is a 12" White Label vinyl of their hit single "Buck Rogers", limited to 11 copies), occasionally a copy will become available on eBay eBay Inc. "Lovefool" is a song written by Peter Svensson and Nina Persson for Swedish rock band the Cardigans' third studio album, '' First Band on the Moon'' (1996). It was released as the album's lead single on 10 August 1996 in Japan. In the United States, the song was serviced to radio two days later. A few months after its release, the track was included in the Baz Luhrmann film ''Romeo + Juliet'', helping the song gain international recognition. "Lovefool" peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart following a re-release in 1997 and achieved moderate success on other European charts.
